CertifiedLA: Top 4 brands in LA

If you follow us its no secret that we have been in LA enjoying the sights and ofcourse Coachella. Now that the dust has settled we thought we’d give  you a quick run down of the brands we spotted and loved out there! Whilst we took the UK to LA, we also wanted to bring a bit of LA back. Being 11hours away our US counterparts can often seem hard to reach and there are some brands we wish had a UK store or representative here. Nevertheless we scoped out from Rodeo Drive, to Melrose, from Koreatown to Venice Beach to bring you our Top 4 brands in LA. In no particular order these are:

1. Yeci Studios:  We were battling about whether to release this or not given that we wanted to be the first to rock this brand during the summer. But we decided to share this LA gem with you. Yeci studios Ball N Parlay denim jackets and shirts, caught our attention months ago and with their current 35% off promotion we have to get our hands on the pink shirt. The Ball ‘N’ Parlay print works beautifully on all colours and makes for a great statement piece. Due to time we were unable to meet with brand owners but we will be back in LA to get an inside scoop…and maybe even pick up a messenger bag! We are pleased to do fashion the Ball N parlay way!

2. Undead Studios LA: This brand caught our eye well before we headed out to LA. The theme of orange set against black is certainly a season must have! The eye catching orange mesh tee stands out against all others we have seen. The good news is the brand does have a UK representative so getting your hands on some of these items is much easier! Nothing says ALIVE more than this Undead Studios, and it is thriving!

3. Kid of Immigrants:  We tried our hardest to pickup pieces from KOI whilst out in LA but time was against us. Nevertheless we will not give up! Originally introduced to us by singer, Kehlani, the brand’s perfectly imperfect designs appealed to us. The ‘Anything is Possible’ tee and the Yellow ‘Love’ cropped hoodie were our faves. By the brand name alone, we know there are stories behind the meaning and the journey of their parents, and we love the brand’s ethos on love and unity  so hopefully we can get to know them better in our next visit.

4. Joyrich LA:  Joyrich is no stranger to us, as you can tell from our wardrobe, and probably isn’t to some of you either but, as we walked down Melrose on a warm night our eyes were drawn to a number of designs which we hadn’t yet seen here in the UK. Firstly the Joyrich Playboy rugby shirts- a stand out piece! Joyrich has always brought us both style and comfort,  and its playful designs can be seen in its SS 17 releases such as its Being Repeat collection. We hope Joyrich continue to do staples and do them well!
