[Stream x Review] Ella Mai – Ella Mai

London & 10 Summers Records very own Ella Mai has released her latest project, self titled.

This highly anticipated album follows the unexpected success of her smash hit Boo’d Up which was an early release from her EP Ready. Boo’d UP literally to a life of its own, it was a staple song the entire Summer 2018, and with the history she has made, it was only right to bring this album while the light has never been brighter.

Ella Mai is a 16 track album, the album flows beautifully from the story she tells and the honesty spilled is almost autobiographical.

The album features R&B heavy weights such as the multi-talented Chris Brown, songstress H.E.R and the legend that is John Legend, which would be an R&B artists dream collabs let alone a debut album.

The album is of course executive produced by DJ Mustard, her song writing skills are very honest and truthful. Her lyrics and story telling is very real and unapologetically herself in every sense or relationship qualms and 21st century love and relationships.

Watch to Shot Clock here:

If you’re a fan of 90’s R&B style of music, soulful, melodic, being told a story rather than track by track songs that don’t synchronise this album is definitely for you!

Ella says that R&B was never dead, and although its only recently that R&B  but one thing is that her art has allowed R&B to not be slept on and gets a 4/5 Certified Stamps.
