[Stream x Review] Ms Banks – The Coldest Winter Ever

Ms Banks is truly in the best position she has been in, she has been very open in telling us that she was finding her sound and making sure that every single we got in the lead up to the full release of this mixtape was  different and with every drop came more listeners and supporters and after loss of European shows, touring the country with Wiley and a Nicki Minaj hail up it truly tipped her over the edge and she knew what the best move was from then.

Calling it The Coldest Winter ever was quite interesting as we were heading toward summertime but it makes sense as it was the most work she has ever worked with her music was the winter of 2017 where she made her big moves.

This is her first full project on all platforms and after the New Chapter EP she knew she had to make sure this was going to put her in the best position ever for her.

She made sure that there is something for everyone on this project, from deep thoughtful tracks that seemed like it came from real life experiences like Over & Made it. She made sure that the favourites you already knew such as Day Ones, Come through, Bangs and even showing love to Margs and putting her Pen Game challenge on the project to remind all that the bars are strong.

She made a couple of songs for the girls to get wicked and bad to and songs like Chat 2 Mi Gyal & Clap will have them all out of their seats and twerking away as she intended.

We also get vocals from her on hooks and even on Over it was all vocals and it was impressive to hear that she continues to expand her range and to show that she can make these songs herself.

Certified Stamps: 4/5

This is a milestone for Ms Banks she has found her sound and the flows, she’s made impactful moves and traveled the world with her music, she has organically built a fan base and shown how grateful she is as one of the artists she looks up to, give her that co-sign and an extra confidence boost to chase down this dream.

Black girl Magic flexing all through this project!
