[Stream x Review] Ryan De La Cruz – Belly EP

After starting the year dropping icy visuals to accompany his viral hit ‘Know About Me’ the East London Rap/Singer has ended the year just as he started it by releasing a 5-track EP titled ‘Belly’. It’s a project which perfectly shows off the type of artist Ryan De La Cruz is as he effortlessly┬áimpresses with the ability to rap as good as anyone and also flaunt sublime vocals.

It’s difficult to choose a favourite track because each is different in their own right. ‘Talkin to Myself’ is a brilliant song that features some cold rapping from Ryan and also a sick hook from Lewis Bootle and that needs to be mentioned. ‘Play Me’ we get a feature from Murphy Ritchie.’Just a Little Bit’ along with ‘Magic’ display the more R&B influenced side of Ryan which is really where he shines.

‘Just a Little Bit’ is the lead track from the EP which really manages to show us all of his talents from singing to rapping, its fusion of R&B and modern hip-hop through the instrumental and his catchy hook will have you singing it all day long.

All in all it’s a solid body of work in which we see an artist with bundles of talent really coming into their own and the boundaries seem limitless as we predict an even bigger 2018! We give ‘Belly’ a Certified 3.5/5 stamps.
